Pumped Up! Sure he his.
I just cannot wait for tomorrow. what a final day we have in cards but First today, England finally declared and the Aussies started their innings with responsibility with watson scoring yet another half century and departing soon after it.Ponting failed miserably and he’s going to be the bait for the media big fishes this time for sure ,Then the ever confident but out of form Clarke stepped up and Hussey stepped up the ante and we saw some aggressive cricket from both of them and they looked good to save the match with Rain and bad light gaining spot light once again. Then the session restored and the cricket continued and the Partnership grew and when it reached 104 then came poster boy KP with the ball and guess what! he took a wicket and it was the wicket of the good looking Clarke caught @ 80 and Aussie’s @ the end of the day were 238/4 still trailing by 137 runs with 6 wickets in hand and Hussey @ the crease
Let’s Hope “rain does not attend the match tomorrow and have a nail biting finish”
GO BARMY ARMY!!!!!
It is called sending them to all parts of the ground
2nd test,Australia Vs England,Adelaide,Day4
The 4th day, at last has some heat in the air as the match is heating up for a finish as England declared their innings @ 620/5 leading by 375 with KP signing off @ 227
The start of the day was as expected the English came with a fire or get fired attitude and they improved their lead and declared. Then came the Aussies into bat and they had a promising opening stand with katich seemingly having a niggle and could not run good between the wickets and @ lunch the scoreboard read 78/0. Swann was already in good rhythm and was hitting rough frequently and the much deserved wicket for swann di come as katich departed and soon enough the ever willy ponting left soon(will he be in the next match line up now?).
The ‘PUP’ clarke looks confident and ever in form watson seems to be providing some form of resistence to Englands quest towards leading the Ashes 1-0. @9.13 IST the score is 120/2 trailing by 225
Here’s Watson scoring yet another 50,Then Drinks
2nd test,Australia Vs England,Adelaide,Day3
England,England,England all the way. This match could be heading for a result and the result would be a English ‘s victory or a draw courtesy the rain god.
Today, the Aussies faced yet another leather hunt with another batsmen dominating the bowling. Cook left early today and Kp came to the fore with another partnership along with collingwood who had a good time in the middle and guess what! Kp who did not have a century under his belt for 18 months scored a century and converted it as a double ton to Barmy Army’s delight . Collingwood departed and bell joined Kp to keep Oz bowlers @ bay . For,the Aussies Harris was the pick of the bowlers ,Doherty was clueless and definitely not in the fray for the next match .
For,Aussie’s delight at last came some hope in the form of Rain and it is their only hope to save the match now. I suppose England now will declare their innings after some explosive innings from their lower middle order and give their bowlers some time to clean up the Aussie and take lead in the series.@ the end of the day Eng are 551/4 leading by 306 runs as rain halted the day
Yes, That's the way pavilion is for England &" It is blocked"
2nd test,Australia Vs England,Adelaide,Day2
Today, Ponting & his men could not find any way forward . The bowlers returned to the dressing room with nothing to show in their wicket column . The Barmy Army has all the reasons to act wild and go haywire with all their batsmen making merry in the center.
The Adelaide wicket was touted to be Batsmen friendly but eyebrows were raised after Aussies batting display but cook & company proved everybody wrong and used the Adelaide wicket to full use . Cook and trott put upon a solid partnership after Strauss exiting too early and both of them were looking good for a hundred before trott’s dismissal for 78 . But, that did not deter the lineup of the English and Peiterson also joined the party to create havoc for the Aussies .he was on a song building an unbeaten partnership of 141 with cook scoring 85 nad looking good for a well deserved century and cook who got to his second consecutive century with 136 is looking strong for a 2nd double ton in a row. still more batting line up to come and Aussie bowling seems does not have any fuel in their tank and England looks to be on top for a test victory this match
Let’s hope”Aussies find some kind of momentum”
Waiting for the second leap!
2nd test,Australia Vs England,Adelaide,Day2
Today, The start of the day could not be as good with Bollinger striking early in the very first over of the day but sadly for the Oz that was the only piece of joy they had until this time of the day .
Strauss @ the start of the day would be quite embarrassed about his dismissal .He was trying to let the ball but it came back and cleaned him up and bollinger was hoped to continue the rhythm but did not happen.
Then joined the troubling partners of the previous match Trott and Cook who are yet to be removed from the previous match and beleive me they both are looking too good for yet another centuries and after the first over wicket when the scoreboard read 3/1 the partnership of cook and trott is now worth 153 with each scoring 70 and 66 respectively and @ 9:35 IST England are 166/1 trailing by 78 runs and raring to go.
Barmy Army is having a feast over here in Adelaide.
